SuoNanBaiMu

14/11/2007: Update

Many thanks to Annette. Because she let us use her house as a meeting place yesterday from 11:00am 鈥� 2:00pm, the members of Soho-ku were able to see SuoNanBaiMu and her mother. The two Tibetans looked fine 鈥� especially SuoNanBaiMu. We would also like to give a big thank you to 鈥楢 Plais Maines鈥� for helping us support and see the operation through. Final thanks to Richard and all other Soho-ku supporters and volunteers who helped us out.

On Friday at 7:55am. Wang Li and the two Tibetans will leave for Kunming by Aeroplane. Afterwards, they will head by bus #13 to Shangri La, Yu鈥檔an. On Sunday, they will then travel for two days by car towards Mankang, Tibet. Upon arrival, they will rest a while, and then proceed to travel for one day again by car to CuoWa. There, they will ride for three hours to LuoBuCuoMu鈥檚 house on horseback. Wang li will stay for a while with them, intent on learning about their lives, and seeing how they and their neighbourhood villagers live

Upon her return to Shanghai, Wang Li will write an article on what she learned on her travel, and on how SuoNanBaiMu鈥檚 adventure here in Shanghai began, continued, and finished.

12/11/2007: Update

As of today, SuoNanBaiMu and her mother have left the hospital. On Friday they will finally return to their homeland, Tibet.

29/10/2007: Update

SuoNanBaiMu鈥檚 operation was a success. Therefore she and her mother have gone to a different location, preparing themselves for the journey back to Tibet after a compulsory 4 week resting period. SuoNanBaiMu is finally a healthy baby 鈥� she has become monkey-like and can now be breastfed - but still needs to recover from her time here in Shanghai.
